Ok.. so we are finally finished with our chair rail/boxes project FINALLY!!!!! it only took us several months lol!!!but figuring out the angles for the boxes going up the hallway were REALLY HARD !!!! So just a warning for you future DIY ers out there !!!! We have also been shopping for little decorations to fill the home.. its looks so much more cozier when it is filled with some decor and things on the walls and tables !!!! Here are some pics .. we have such a nice view out of our back windows looking into woods, but just enough sunlight to filter through when we are eating dinner every night !!!!
Wow, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing! Once we are all unpacked I think that is our next project! I also LOVE the accent wall. I can't wait to paint! (did I just say that??!)
ReplyDeleteROGER AND DONNA, YOU TWO ROCK!!! LOOKS AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantabulous!!! Great job! Amd Imlove the color of your accent wall also.what colors did you use?
ReplyDeleteWe did most of our house in Kilim Biege and the accent walls in Latte.. all by Sherwin Williams
DeleteReally? I was looking at the latte. It looks different but better! Wow!!!
DeleteWow! That looks awesome!! What a grand entrance! We will probably do something like that in our foyer too. BTW, they tiled almost up to our ceiling without any prompting on our part! You might have won that battle for everybody in Syracuse!!
ReplyDeleteOmg!! I cant believe they tiled all the way up!!!.... Well good for RH.....maybe they are changing just a little bit!! For the better of course! :) or maybe they are reading our blogs lol!
DeleteIm blown away, what an amazing home!!! You did beyond awesome work, it looks like a model.........you should be sooooo proud!!! And you decor choices are spot on with the home, love it love it

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great feedback / comments...we do love our blog family :)
ReplyDeleteYou guys are our inspiration in this home construction business.. haha. We have many identical choices, and where we vary we are still thinking along similar lines. You know our thoughts on your living room office, fantastic! But seeing your family room looking amazing with all extra windows makes us very happy that we selected those as well. All of that light is just beautiful in the morning room as well, and those side windows there are a great help too.
ReplyDeleteWe wanted the fireplace (looks perfect and RH knows it, damn it) but had to sacrifice something, that $5,000 for the fireplace went towards the driveway, hammerhead, and extra electrical outlets. Beautiful job all in all, love the paint colors as well. Can't imagine the space with any other color.
thanks guy for such a nice comment !! we hope every little bit of info helps... we were suprised by many things in the build process and wish we could have known some things because its so hard to know what to pick and spend money on when you really dont know what it will look like !! we did splurge on the fireplace, the direct set staircase and upgraded bath, but we cut the other small things like carpet pad, upgrades faucets ect !!we debated the price with RH because we almost went with another builder, so they threw in some more windows for us !!
DeleteWow! I love the wainscoting. Everything goes together so perfectly. :)
ReplyDeleteYour home looks Fabulous! Where did you find the piece over the fireplace? I am looking for something similar. Great job on the boxes. It is no easy feet. My husband put them up in our little girls room. Needless to say there where a lot of cuts and choice words lol
ReplyDeleteThanks! The piece over the fireplace is from target....i just love that store!...
Deletewow I love it I never woould have thought to look for something like that there! They have nice things for great prices!
DeleteI love the boxes and decor. Where did you get the dining room set from? I love it!
ReplyDeleteBTW-your upstairs is a hallway of doors that look never ending, lol! Nice house.
Hi pinkrage...the dining rm set was from Ashley furniture...we tried to match the color close to our entertainment center since the rooms are so open to each other!!
DeleteReally nice work on the trim and molding. It makes the home look richer and very customer. I can't wait until we add trim and molding.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous guys! Looks great!

ReplyDeleteHi Roger and Donna, I love ur blog, pictures and everything. I am also about to start building a Victoria's fall with ur same elevation. I really like the way u did the foyer with the chair rails, shadow boxes and all. I'll also have a reverse floor plan like u. Thanks to ur blog, I have decided to start my own blog. No idea how to do this but I guess I'll learn as I go.
