Just a quick update, the sales manager did refund our money back for the plug so at least they came through with this one!!, it probably helped that they were so accommodating since we were sitting at closing and it still wasn't resolved!!Roger and Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08248468689311114359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2651468995411965016.post-71811241756839422902012-11-16T12:28:06.728-08:002012-11-16T12:28:06.728-08:00We purchased the blower and it is a bit loud and r...We purchased the blower and it is a bit loud and rattles (on our punch list), but our last house did not have a blower even though it had the vents for one. I don't think we really needed it as it put out a lot of heat, but since it was an option for us, we thought it would be worth it.

Sorry that you didn't get exactly what you were hoping for. We have noticed other things when you don't get an option that things you would think would be standard regardless are not there or are of a lot less quality. I guess lesson learned.Gina K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13211200395695932014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2651468995411965016.post-76031473396974702692012-11-16T07:51:10.148-08:002012-11-16T07:51:10.148-08:00I built in Baltimore, Maryland, and the blower was...I built in Baltimore, Maryland, and the blower was optional. We did not select a blower as an option, as we had one on our old Ryan home and it stopped working after about 3 years. We have a great room in our new home, not a family room, and our furniture is all the way across the room from the fireplace. Even without the blower, the fireplace gives off so much heat that we get a little too toasty after a little while and have to turn the fireplace off. I'd ask Ryan for your money back for the useless outlet and use your fireplace without it. It is very difficult to know everything. Since we are now in the building process we have learned that $^@# happens and it will and can delay your delivery in addition to creating a punch list of things that may have been looked over that I have now accepted as part of the process. I really hope they can accommodate our request or you can add something else for the same price to avoid having to delay your closing.RickandNadasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440625366611097007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2651468995411965016.post-88793736878735827312012-11-15T20:27:08.484-08:002012-11-15T20:27:08.484-08:00Where are you building? I hope this doesn't make it impossible for you to circulate the heat from the fireplace. That would be terrible. We were at our almost next door neighbors last week and they had the blower going....it really puts out some heat!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15914703285978645487noreply@blogger.com
